Coincidence? Hmmm…
First, there was this little item a couple of weeks ago. Zookeeper inadvertently leaves knife in cage, gorilla finds it, which leads to some rather unjustifiable feelings of shock on the humans’ part when they ‘discover’ that primates are pretty good with tools.
- Interesting reaction from the zookeepers. I’ll wait ’til later to write it in my diary.
Then, something else. Someplace far from the gorillas (so as not to arouse suspicion?), the chimps escape their enclosure, no one knows how exactly, but instead of rampaging, they hit the kitchen, have a snack and allow themselves to get corralled again. Almost as though these two little episodes were part of some larger plan…
I hope the one with the knife or sharp something won’ hurt the other one, I can’t afford to see it if it does.
I just hope the zookeeper’s carelessness won’t cause any harm.
